1440p not available anymore

I have a monoprice 1440p monitor with HDMI 1.4 (Monoprice 27-inch Select Series IPS WQHD)

I was able to get 1440p with my late 2013 15' macbook pro and it worked recently until I updated to MacOS Sierra

I don't know whats going on

I tried a different hdmi cable

I tried switchresx but it looked like garbage ( I don't know why)

I tried resetting the nvram and smc

These still did not work.

Is there something wrong with the update?

It should support that resolution as it's hdmi 1.4 I don't understand why apple broke it?

Is there a fix for it?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 10, null
